About Him

Edwin Mata is the CEO and Co-Founder of Brickken and works on the architecture of digital and agentic capital markets.

Trained as an international lawyer and mergers and acquisitions practitioner, Edwin brings a legal and transactional perspective to the transformation of financial markets. His work examines how equity, debt, private credit, funds, and asset-backed instruments must be structured, governed, issued, serviced, transferred, and enforced when their lifecycle becomes digital.

He views tokenization as a change in market structure, not a technology trend. His focus is the alignment of legal rights, regulatory requirements, investor eligibility, transfer restrictions, settlement, distributions, corporate actions, and technical infrastructure within one coherent financial system.

Edwin is also developing the concept of agentic capital markets, where artificial intelligence participates in the analysis, administration, allocation, servicing, and transfer of financial instruments within defined legal, regulatory, and risk parameters.

At Brickken, he applies these principles to infrastructure that enables organizations to issue, manage, and distribute digital financial instruments across regulated and private-market environments.
